Our story
Old stone, slow days
Vavla is one of the quietest villages in the Larnaca hills, a handful of stone houses, a church bell, and terraces of olive, almond and carob worked the same way for generations.
The house grew the way village houses do: room by room, around a courtyard, across more than a century. Its walls are local limestone laid by hand. Its roofs are terracotta tile on timber and cane.
Restoring it, we kept every arch, every beam and every worn threshold stone we could then quietly added the things a guest actually needs today: hot water that arrives fast, cool rooms in August, and a wi-fi signal you can forget about.
What it is now is four separate rooms gathered around one shared courtyard, always booked together as one house. A group of friends. A family across three generations. A teacher and their students.
